Huge training roadshow for support workers begins

We’ve packed our bags and the presentations are ready as InLife embarks on a major training roadshow for its support workers across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Access to good quality training and being able to communicate easily with your co-workers can transform someone’s experience on the job.

At disability support provider InLife, a new tech platform called Teamspace is being rolled out across the organisation to provide support workers and clients with a top-quality experience.

The platform available via mobile apps is made up of two main parts:

  • Workplace: A collaborative tool by Meta, which feels a lot like Facebook, to allow support workers to communicate as a team. Staff can welcome new team members, see shift notes, ask questions, access key information, join social groups and receive announcements.

  • myLearning: This platform includes learning modules designed for a client’s individual needs. Clients can choose to have videos created specifically about them and their requirements. It’s also accessible on mobile so it’s there as a reference wherever support workers need it.

More than 400 InLife staff are set to complete Teamspace training sessions in the next three weeks starting on Monday, August 29 and leading up to the official launch on September 19.

InLife founder and CEO David Clarke said Teamspace had been in the works for the past year and the roadshow would introduce it to many of the organisation’s support workers.

“It’s fantastic to see this learning and communication platform being rolled out to all our team members across the state,” he said.

“We’re always keen to embrace new technologies and keep innovating to provide our clients with the very best service possible and we believe that Teamspace will help us do that.”
