Free RATS available for people with disability through winter

A government program to make free rapid antigen tests available for people with disability has been extended.

People with disability in Victoria can now access free rapid antigen tests (RATs) until the end of September.

The state government has extended its free RATS program which started in April and was initially set to run for three months.

The program gives Victorians with disability 20 free RATs per visit from state-run testing sitesand from Disability Liaison Officers.

Carers can also access the tests on behalf of those eligible.

NDIS participants, disability support pensioners and people with a disability who receive a Transport Accident Commission benefit are all eligible.

Find your nearest testing site with RATs.

If you can’t attend a testing site, contact a Disability Liaison Officer. You can find more information on the Vaccination for people with disability or special requirements page.

You can also call the 24/7 Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398 for information about RATs.
