Debbie Maddocks
Senior CoordinatorGeelong
Since completing her degree in education in the UK, Debbie’s worked in a variety of disability settings including, specialist schools, hospitals, the community and non-profits.
Previously, Debbie managed a team delivering the NDIA’s early childhood approach, giving her a strong knowledge of the NDIA, including its planning and funding processes.
Debbie fosters the social model of disability as she believes people are disabled by society's barriers, not by impairment or differences. She’s always sought to work for organisations that are client-focused, prioritise client needs and never stop listening and developing.
Debbie has been in Australia 14 years now, with her husband, teenage son and daughter. She doesn't miss the weather, long dark nights and heavy traffic but does miss family, friends and a good roast dinner.
