InLife client Dylan Hanson is mixing things up on social media to hit his goals.
When InLife client Ki Hayward from Geelong was in Ballarat for a week he tapped into the local team for support.
Getting the right support wherever you have to be, including when you're away from home, can make all the difference.
InLife client Ki Hayward sadly had to travel to Ballarat recently for a funeral and needed to make sure he had the right support away from home.
Given the circumstances it involved some last minute planning.
But Ki, who usually has daily support from InLife in Geelong, was able to set up a team in Ballarat quickly with the help of his coordinator Megan Nicholas.
She and Ballarat Coordinator Tayla Edwards worked together to ensure Ki’s supports were organised for the week-long trip back to his hometown.
“It was pretty seamless,” Ki said.
“They were absolutely great, considering the circumstances, they were a perfect team who met my needs.”
“I want to say a big thank you to the Ballarat and Geelong coordinators for organising the supports.”
Ki said that in Ballarat, he also took some nostalgic walks in nature and visited Ballarat Wildlife Park.
This included an animal encounter with meerkats and tree kangaroo, Kombai.
"I was covered in mud and footprints, but the healing was immense,” he said.
Ki is hoping to make a trip back at Christmas and will tap into the same supports from the Ballarat local team again and return to the wildlife park.
