Nothing beats being on air for Will from Wangaratta.
Radio connects people from all walks of life.
And for Wangaratta client Will Moore being able to tap into that power of connection on a radio show every week brings a lot of joy.
“I always wanted to do radio,” he said.
Will takes requests and announces songs during Will’s Hour of Power on community radio station 101.3 Oak FM every Tuesday from noon to 1pm.
Will started working with a team in 2018 and has made some firm friends along the way on and off air, including Josh who works the panel beside him.
He also sees regulars around town.
“I see a lot of the callers out in the street in Wangaratta,” he said.
As well as taking song requests, Will enjoys choosing special songs to play on air for his InLife support team, including Coordinator Jodie Milne.
These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ was his most recent song pick for her!
Will has also become known in the Wangaratta community for selling the The Big Issue.
Coordinator Jodie from InLife’s regional team said Will was a “go-getter” who was well-respected in the community.
“It’s great to see him constantly working towards his goals, volunteering and making a difference,” she said.
