From spinning beats to artistic endeavours and animal encounters, our clients shared their talents and made a mark in many ways this year.

Mixing it up in the neighbourhood

InLife client Dylan started spinning tunes this year and sharing the results on social media under the moniker @your_friendly_neighbourhood_dj.

His first gig was at an InLife event, and he’s now got a number of bookings in the calendar for summer.

"My aim is to make people open their hearts to the music and to make their hearts feel warm,” he said.

Will’s hour of power

Tapping into the power of radio to connect with others has been a win for Wangaratta client Will.

He takes requests and announces songs during Will’s Hour of Power on community radio station 101.3 Oak FM every Tuesday.

And he’s made some firm friends on and off the air.

“I see a lot of the callers out in the street in Wangaratta,” he said.

Getting back to nature

There’s nothing quite like getting up close to some wildlife - in this case tree kangaroos.

InLife client Ki from Geelong tapped into his support team to make an unexpected trip to Ballarat for a friend’s funeral.

The trip was understandably difficult but getting back to nature also helped make a difference.

"I was covered in mud and footprints (from the animals), but the healing was immense,” he said.

The pawfect portrait

Melbourne client Jodie Storey Munday is a talented artist who specialises in pet portraits.

She got into painting after attending a community art class and has continued to develop her art ever since.

‘I feel like with everything I paint, I put a little bit of my soul into it,” she said.
